¿Any doubts about our level sensors?

In this section we clarify the most frequently asked questions about installation, accuracy and operation.

Non-contact sensors, such as those based on laser or radar technology, allow silo level measurement without touching the product, avoiding wear or contamination. 🔗 Learn about the types of non-contact sensors.

The reading obtained by the sensor has an accuracy of ±1 mm, ideal for precise volume control in feed or grain silos. The final accuracy may vary depending on the product and the emptying mode, especially in dusty materials.

These sensors are used in grain silos, feed bins, industrial tanks, agricultural storage systems and much more. Their versatility allows them to be applied in a wide variety of industries. 🔗Read more about the uses of level sensors

Yes, in large diameter silos, we recommend the installation of one sensor if the material conditions are favorable. Otherwise, the installation of more than one sensor allows us to calculate the average.

The sensors can be configured to adapt to the reading frequency you need.

Automating silo metering prevents losses, optimizes feed orders and improves overall stock management. 🔗 See benefits of on-farm sensors.

Silometric should be installed to compensate for cones formed during filling or emptying of the silo. By directing the laser from the top towards the center of the cone and focusing on the midpoint of the mound or void, the measured volume will be compensated.

Yes, Silometric is powered by a long-life battery and transmits data via SIGFOX, without the need for electricity or Wi-Fi. If you have more questions about how our sensors communicate, take a look at the networks and accessories section.

There is no limit. You can connect multiple Silometric sensors to the same Master gateway, within a radius of up to 500 m.
